Japan’s Daimei Telecom holds workshop on high speed wireless Ethernet Radio link

Daimei Telecom Engineering Corporation of Japan, an integrated Information and communication engineering company, last week held a workshop/demonstration to introduce a latest development in High speed wireless Ethernet Radio link.



The Company has recommenced operations, after the prevailed civil unrest in Sri Lanka, with huge investment and BOI status with a fully owned subsidiary company - Daimei SLK Ltd.

Daimei Telecom, established its first project office in Sri Lanka in 1981 and successfully carried out Telecommunication Infrastructure development projects all over the island and enjoyed a very good reputation for quality of works and the used high technology for nearly two decades.

The workshop jointly held by Daimei SLK and Japan Radio Company(JRC) at their premises,125/4A,Buthgamuwa Road, Kalapaluwawa, Rajagiriya demonstrated the latest Japanese development of high speed IP/Ethernet connection-TDD- Packet Radio system.

Officials from Dialog and Etisalat, Lanka Bell and Sri Lanka Telecom and organisations such as Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Airport and Aviation Services which are using radio links for their point to point communications participated at the workshop.

Tadashi Sato (Assistant General Manager) and Takahiro Yamamoto (Manager Business Planning) of Japan Radio Company successfully conducted workshop/demonstration with the blessings of Yashiro Takano(Managing Director Daimei Sri Lanka) and the assistance of Kazuhiki Murai (Daimei Sri Lanka).

Product portfolio of the Company includes WIPAS - Wireless IP Access System is packet radio that provide high speed IP/Ethernet connection operating at frequency band of 24 GHz to 26GHz;

WIPAS  - provide flexible configuration of point to point and point to multi point system; WIPAS  - Offers Fiber -extension link quality; WIPAS  - A good tool for Disaster Management; WIPAS  - useful for Cellular Operators, fixed line operators and private networks; WIPAS  - already used in Japan Railway (Tsukuba Express Line) for  WiFi communications; WIPAS  - now deployed - Japan, Canada, Czech, Ghana and Chili

and WIPAS - also on trial in USA, Vietnam and Argentina.
