HP is a global market leader with 18% share of total computer sales.
In 2011, Sri Lanka’s hardware market was estimated at US$265 million and is on path to double by 2015. According to IT/ITES by ICRA Lanka and IMaCs ’11, until 2006, desktop computers accounted for 80% of unit sales, by 2008 this dropped to 40%. This is mainly down to the change in human nature and the need for on the go technology such as smart phones and tablet computers.
