The ICT industry’s landmark event INFOTEL has partnered with the technology giant Metropolitan as its main sponsor, for the inaugural Chief Information Officer (CIO) Forum to be held on 20 November.
The INFOTEL exhibition which will be held for the 14th time in 2015, is introducing a new dimension to the event with an exclusive CIO Forum for selected invitees. Two leading ICT industry bodies, the Federation of IT Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) and the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) are jointly organising the inaugural event. CSSL and FITIS Executive Council Member Dr. Prasad Samarasinghe said, “This Forum is going to become a major part of the annual INFOTEL exhibition and will be open to over 300 CIOs in Sri Lanka.”
CSSL President Dr. Dayan Rajapakse said, “The Computer Society of Sri Lanka is very happy to partner with FITIS in organising this CIO Forum, at INFOTEL 2015. This will enable top level IT decision makers to visit and experience Sri Lanka’s largest IT expo, sharing their knowledge and exploring innovative technology. We are very thankful to the Metropolitan Group for generously sponsoring this event.”
FITIS Chairman Chinthaka Wijewickrama further endorsed the event saying, “Creativity plays a vital role in ICT, constantly being innovative is the success of a CIO.”

The event has a line-up of top global speakers and CIOs addressing future ICT directions, challenges and emerging technology platforms. INFOTEL is the ICT industry’s premier exhibition organised by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka.
