With computer related frauds and dangers continuing to loom large, the IT Training Division of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) will take the lead to combat this growing menace by organising a workshop on End User Security in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Team (SLCERT) on 17 August 2011 at the ICASL’s Orion Hall, Colombo 7.
Computer related dangers come in a varied form, from data and identity thefts, viruses and various forms of hacking among other countless risks, and it is imperative for users to take steps to ensure their data are protected and safeguarded.
Therefore, end user security has become increasingly important to combat such crimes and frauds.
The one-day workshop which will be conducted by information security experts from SLCERT will cover a range of topics including: End user security policy, information security policy, social networking service, modern security threats and modern biometric approaches.
