H One was recognised for its work empowering Sri Lankan businesses with next generation Cloud technology when it was recently invited by Microsoft’s regional management, to serve as a Cloud consultant to enterprises in South-East Asia. A leading Cloud Deployment Partner with more than 19,000 offices, H One leverages its team of highly-certified cloud engineers, tested and proven deployment methodologies and expertise with complex migrations towards project success.  The team also brings to bear best practices from the Center of Excellence Team for Office365 responsible for transitioning major global organisations to the Cloud, including the Coca Cola Company. The landmark project, which will involve taking one of Thailand’s largest banks - TMB Bank- to the Cloud, is also the largest Microsoft Office365 project in Thailand and the first of its kind in the Thai banking sector. The first phase of the project will see 3,000 of the total 10,000 users across the business - executives to senior management - on the cloud with Microsoft Office365 by October 2014. TMB Bank, which is owned in part by one of Europe’s major financial groups, ING Bank N.V. and the Thai Ministry of Finance, sees the move to the Cloud as key to realising its vision of being Thailand’s leading financial solutions bank through its support of more meaningful interaction with customers. Long-time users of Lotus Notes, TMB chose Microsoft Office365 for its best-in-class email solution, next generation collaboration tools, scalable plans and built-in security and compliance features. Constrained by the existing Domino platform, users demanded a superior collaborative platform that would better support flexible employee work styles and increase productivity. With Microsoft Office365, users benefit from secure, anywhere access to email and calendars. To maximize information security, TMB Bank will be able to put in place policies to prevent the leakage of sensitive information on email. The organisation will also be able to place mailboxes on ‘legal hold’ to prevent deliberate deletion of email prior to legal action, forensic investigations, or changes in management leadership. Users benefit from remote access to business-critical information through SharePoint’s centralised document libraries, team sites and workflows. And teams can ensure that they drive customer engagement, leveraging every resource available, whether they are at the office or offsite. With Microsoft Lync, users will be able to communicate across branches through instant messaging, and audio and video conferencing. With polls, whiteboards, desktop sharing, document sharing and session recording available at the click of a button, teams are able to communicate more effectively than they would do in person and significantly reduce costs associated with phone calls and travel. In addition to benefiting from a host of world-class productivity features, TMB Bank will also benefit from Microsoft Office365’s disaster recovery measures: a financially backed guarantee of high availability with 99.9% uptime, supported by multiple data centres situated around the world.
