The Federation of IT Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) is organising the National CxO  Forum 2016 under three different tracks for the first time in Sri Lanka to coincide with the Infotel 2016 National ICT Exhibition, scheduled to be held from 11 to 13 November 2016 at the BMICH. The National CxO Forum 2016 will be held on 11 November 2016 from 1.30 p.m. to 7.00 pm at Committee Halls ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’, followed by cocktails.

Track 1 of the CxO Forum consists of ‘Empowering Leaders for Business Processes Innovation’, Track 2 is ‘Empowering Organizations for better Security’ and Track 3 is ‘Empowering Digital Government’.

The first National CXO Forum will feature insights from leading international industry personnel and forward-thinking, enterprising entrepreneurs, including IT and business leaders of innovative companies in the region, who will share their practical strategies and success stories in spearheading business process change, securing organisations, harnessing the latest technologies and fostering innovation from top down to sustain business in today’s competitive world.

Making his observations on the new initiatives, FITIS Chairman Wasantha Weerakoon said, “The start-up pavilion and the CxO Forum will enhance the National Digital Transformation by empowering the small and medium scale companies to directly interact with today’s business leaders and Government officials. Further CxO Forum is a new paradigm shift towards having a more inclusive ICT event during the national IT week.”

Infotel Organising Committee Chairman Sudath Amarasinghe said, “The National CxO Forum would add value to the Infotel Exhibition and to the National IT week. The Forum will help start-up companies network with business leaders and Government officials in decision making positions, which will enhance the start-up ecosystem.”

Agaya Holdings Director/CEO Prasad Hettiarachchi said, “The CxO Forum 2016 is the largest IT forum organised by FITIS. The forum, with its three tracks on Process Innovation, IT Security and Digital Government, will bring together over 1,100 CxOs and around 150 entrepreneurs. The forum will address many of the prevailing ICT-related concerns. This is a great opportunity for the ICT sector and business leaders in Sri Lanka to discuss the latest innovations, secure solutions and best practices to address many of today’s pressing requirements and concerns.”

Business leaders are encouraged to forward to the event’s organising committee the concerns they wish to discuss during the Forum via e-mail or through the CxO Forum Facebook page.
