EZY Holdings, which set up Sri Lanka’s first-ever state-of-the-art automated computer manufacturing facility with a promise to provide quality computers at an affordable price, moved into its brand new premises at Bagatalle Road, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion drive.

EZY computers, which are even being exported to the region with the first consignment of 600 SlimTops being sent to Pakistan and Bangladesh in September 2009, have made tremendous strides since their inception in February 2009 when Dubai based EZY Infotech set up operations through the BOI.

As Sri Lanka’s premier computer manufacturer, EZYhave lived up to their promise of ‘making computers – simply affordable’. EZY, which has been making waves in the local IT field ever since the launch of the EZY SlimTop, a new generation computer which is “slim in size and slim in price”, have continuously focused on providing affordable solutions to bridge the gap between technology and affordability.

“It has always been our vision to make computers affordable to every Sri Lankan. By setting up a local manufacturing facility our focus was to provide computers and laptops that would be more customized to suit the local user’s needs. This is the reason we have been successful in providing technology that is just right for an everyday computer user, whilst ensuring we make it affordable for an ordinary citizen,” said Shafraz Hamzadeen, CEO EZY Holdings.

Hamzadeen is of the firm belief that if Sri Lanka as a nation is to move forward, “it is imperative that we bridge the digital divide between technology users like an ordinary citizen and technology manufacturers like us. As much as we endeavour to provide tomorrow’s technology at today’s prices, we at EZY converge all our efforts to encourage users to embrace modern computing.” The company’s relocation to new premises is part of their expansion drive and Hamzadeen together with his team are confident that in the very near future EZY’s vision of every home being equipped with a computer will be a reality.
