Etisalat to set up 200 more base stations in 100 days

Etisalat Lanka Ltd., is set to complete 200 base stations across the country in just 100 days as a part of its ongoing phase in coverage and capacity expansion to continuously ensure its customers’ experience enjoy the best in the market.
This move is a part of Etisalat’s continuous service excellence commitments to its customers.
The initiative is aimed at further strengthening islandwide connectivity and reach as part of the company’s rapid expansion of network infrastructure. The 200 base stations commissioned under this project will be inclusive of both 2G and 3G sites, spanning over eight districts. Following the investments committed by EtisalatLanka for the continuous service enhancement; the current phase of this project is planned to complete by 31 January 2015.
The move is geared at increasing Etisalat’s network capability to meet the ever-growing demand of data consumption in the network and also to welcome more suburban customers to the best network for smartphones in 3G when they change their handsets to a smartphone.
