Etisalat introduces multi-device solution for smartphone users

Etisalat Lanka recently announced the launch of “Multi SIM”, an innovative service introduced to deliver convenient solutions for customers and businesses, using multiple SIMs and devices.
Users can now integrate multiple devices to one number, one bill and one package with ease. The advancement of mobile technology has created the need for owning multiple devices among business professionals, young executives and businesses. Managing multiple devices with multiple connections can be complicated and expensive. In this context, Etisalat introduced this innovative solution for individual customers and businesses alike to offer convenience and integration between multiple devices.
The solution provides Etisalat post-pay customers with one primary number which will include High Definition (HD) Voice calls, Data, SMS and VAS services. Users of Multi SIM service can opt for any smartphone plan or data plan on their primary device and start sharing data bundles on any of their secondary devices.
Commenting on this service, Etisalat Lanka Chief Commercial Officer Janaka Jayalath said, “Etisalat has the best network for smartphones because of our technology and network design. We realise that with the evolution of mobile technology, one user owning multiple devices is becoming a lifestyle trend. It is in this context that we have created this integrated solution for individual customers and businesses alike.
“With Etisalat Multi SIM service, there is no need for the customer to subscribe to different service plans for each device or switch SIMs from device to device or receive bills with different billing dates. We believe in keeping a pulse on the future by offering greater convenience to our customers and by allowing them to optimise their usage and spend on mobile technology.”
Pre-paid customers can also benefit from this service as they can activate the Multi SIM Service by converting their existing pre-paid number to a post-pay account. The service can be conveniently activated for up to 5 more SIMs for data use under the primary number for a onetime connection fee of Rs. 150, a monthly rental fee of Rs. 99 for all SIMs by visiting any one of the Etisalat Flagship Stores or dealer points located island-wide.
