Etisalat announces new packages with ‘Smart Roam’

As part of its commitment to provide customers with innovative solutions, Etisalat Lanka recently launched Smart Roam an initiative that aims to eliminate high and unpredictable costs for consumers using mobile services while roaming abroad.  

Smart Roam is yet another innovative feature that enables all Etisalat pre and post-paid customers to call Sri Lanka at only Rs. 5 while roaming from over 20 countries such as India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, UK, Italy etc. with guaranteed rates and no manual network selection.

Commenting on this latest introduction, Etisalat Lanka Chief Commercial Officer Yasser Aboul Amayem said: “Over the years, our focus at Etisalat has been to provide customers with cutting-edge products and services that make connections faster, affordable and more efficient. As such, we have carefully studied the needs of a frequent traveller and comprehend that mobile connectivity can be a burden both financially and operationally. Accordingly, Smart Roam is an innovation by Etisalat that will open up a cost-effective world to frequent travellers in which worrying about high roaming bills and network selections will be a thing of the past.”

With the Smart Roam feature, customers travelling to India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, UK, Italy etc. can now call their loved ones at the lowest rate of Rs. 5 Additionally, customers will have access to check the roaming rates and even calculate their roaming bills before their travel by simply visiting Etisalat website on www.etisalat.lk. It can be activated free of charge by dialling #123# and selecting SMART ROAM> Activate or viaSMS: ACTSM and Send to 7878.
