Showing its dominance as the technology leaders in the banking and information security domains, Epic Lanka once again won the highest number of awards at the National Best Quality software Awards 2011 held at the Galadari Hotel on 7 October 2011.

Epic won the Gold Award in the financial services category for its Branchless Banker solution that evolves from its revolutionary and innovative mobile banking solution which won the first ever Gold Award for Sri Lanka at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards in 2008. Epic Terminal Line Encryption, a solution that combats payment card frauds was selected as the best in the category of Security Solutions.
With core competencies developed in complementary domains of secure electronic payments and information systems security with time tested implementations in local and international banks, Epic Lanka secured the Gold Award in the mobile applications category also at the NBQSA 2011.
“In an era where the focus of most of the software solution providers in various industry segments from logistics to e-governance is towards mobile developments, becoming the best in this emerging field of solutions opened to everyone is ample testimony for our expertise and the promise we give to our clients for reliable banking solutions,” a spokesperson from Epic Corporate Communications said. “This recognition received through a rigorous evaluation process clearly differentiates our Mobile Phone Banking Solution from the rest,” he added.

Epic Cyber Pay and Epic 3 D Secure Internet Payment Gateway also won awards in industry applications and R&D categories respectively. Winning the Silver Award for the best overall product Epic Lanka bagged six awards at NBQSA 2011 equalling its previous record of highest number of awards at NBQSA in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
NBQSA organised by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, Sri Lanka Section is the legendary national level ICT competition that allows universities and commercial firms to compare and contrast their solutions through an unbiased and highly comprehensive evaluation process. BCS and FITIS nominate national level winners for the Asia pacific ICT Alliance awards. With highly promising solutions Epic Lanka will represent Sri Lanka in three product categories at APICTA 2011 to be held in Thailand shortly.
