Epic Techno-Village inaugurated

Epic Lanka last week opened the unique Epic Techno Village in Battaramulla. Addressing the members of the Epic family after the inauguration Epic Lanka Chairman and Managing Director Nayana Dehigama said “We must continue to design and develop innovative ICT solutions that will enhance the living standards of people while sustaining the environment. Stressing on the importance of ICT for Sri Lanka, the Managing Director added “Sri Lanka has the intellectual capital that can bring prosperity to everybody and ICT being a prominent knowledge based industry has a vital role to play.”  

Expressing his views Epic Lanka Director and General Manager Viraj Mudalige said that resolving social issues should be a main focus in developing ICT solutions, and the participation of all stakeholders was important.

Epic Techno-Village with over 36,000 sq ft space to house the software development and R&D Centre is located at a scenically high elevation at 158/1/A, Kaduwela Road, Talangama, Battaramulla 10120. Having commenced operations as a back-yard company with four people in May 1998, Epic Lanka reached the pinnacle of the software industry by winning the National Business Excellence Award in ICT sector for the past three consecutive years. They brought glory and fame to Sri Lanka by winning the first ever gold medal for local commercial software at the APICTA Awards in 2008. Epic Lanka has collected an unprecedented number of 38 national and international accolades from 2008 to 2010.
