Emojot Inc., a global pioneer in real-time emotion based client engagement has successfully closed its Series Seed funding round amounting to $ 1 million.
The funding came from both Asian and US investors.
Headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, Emojot has offices in Australia, and Sri Lanka. The co-founders together amass five decades of combined global experience working in related domains as well as in successful technology and innovation startups, enterprises, government and research institutions.
“We are absolutely delighted to close this round so fast despite the current tough global conditions for tech investments,” said Founder, CEO and President Shahani Markus. The funding will be used to secure IP and accelerate sales and marketing.
Co-founder, COO and CTO Manjula Dissanayake added, “We see it as a strong testament to the timely innovation that the Emojot platform brings to global audience engagement needs.”
Emojot’s software based emotion sensors use emojis to easily capture emotions and the platform has the capability of instantly responding to even anonymously expressed sentiments. Emojot thereby enables a vista of powerful emotion-based marketing possibilities for businesses, providing them with hitherto unforeseen revenue generation opportunities. Ideal for tracking and enhancing brand marketing and loyalty, emotion sensors revolutionise client engagement across a wide spectrum of scenarios. Examples include using emotion sensors for audience engagement during live TV shows, conferences and sports events, as well as on digital media. Emojot is also used by businesses for employee engagement and customer loyalty tracking, and by educational institutes for student engagement. Kiosk-mode emotion sensors are ideal at points-of-service such as restaurants, banks, and retail stores. Emojot has the capability to leverage big data analytics and deliver insightful correlation of data from multiple social media channels to provide businesses with an enhanced view of trending social sentiments.
Emojot technology is patent-pending and the company has an interesting global patent portfolio in the areas of machine learning, image processing and data analytics. The company maintains an active research focus as it continues to innovate its platform features in collaboration with leading research institutions.
