The latest venture initiated by Prasanna W. Jayewardene, a pioneer and innovative hotelier for well over four decades, is POP-UPSELL.
POP-UPSELL is a concept to offer an e-based sales exchange to cover any item however large or small, said Amara Galagoda, Spokesperson for the PJ Group. The venture will be launched on 17 May.
“Craigslist in USA is a success story, which we hope to emulate in Sri Lanka,” she added.
However, PJ’s POP-UPSELL will cover all three languages and open out the opportunity to buy and sell even secondhand items at a very low advertisement cost.
“Most importantly, while computer literacy is growing in this country, we will tailor make the concept to suit those not conversant with computers to advertise as well.”
A five-point massive advertising and marketing budget has been allocated for the POP-UPSELL concept by the PJ Group, which envisages rapid growth in this area, Galagoda added.
