Distribution of computers under easy payment scheme for public officers

Under the patronage of Minister Basil Rajapaksa
Ceremony for launching ‘State Mission’ program for the purpose of providing computers under an easy payment scheme for the public servants jointly formulated by the State Trading (General) Corporation, Dell and e.wis Computer companies with Intel technology was held recently at Waters Edge, Battaramulla, under the patronage of the Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa, with the participation of the Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Minister of Education Bandula Gunwardena.
State Trading (General) Corporation being the pioneering institution in providing relief to the public servants is introducing this program, as instructed by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, strengthening the state mission aimed at achieving the development objectives focussed on knowledge in future Sri Lanka, as envisaged in ‘Mahinda Chinthanaya – Vision for the future’. STC has implemented severalprograms benefitting the public servants.
The ‘Upahara’ package aimed at public servants and ‘Web Schools’ for educating the younger generation are of special significance which created transformations in the Sri Lankan market.
