The overall IT services market in the Asia Pacific excluding Japan is expected to grow 13.4% year on year after a strong performance last year of 18%.

An IDC report said the data centre build-out for cloud services as well as innovative outsourcing models are fuelling the market growth.

The report said the outsourcing trend has moved toward flexible sourcing with different selected vendors offering best of breed services. Competitive offerings with higher flexibility and pricing options are available.

IDC added that globalisation and mobility trends are driving demand for network and communications services. Next generation data centre design needs to enable automation and dynamic provisioning across the entire infrastructure, connectivity across multiple locations and access to virtualised resources by any mobile device.

Business transformation, along with compliance, governance, risk management and business analytics were key drivers for organisations to streamline their operations and optimise IT investments to deliver greater value.

The increasing use of special media platforms and mobile applications has created immense opportunities to conduct digital marketing activities over the internet or mobile network.
