The Delmege Forsyth Group, working with its technology partners H One Ltd., recently announced the migration of its 400 user-strong e-mail and collaboration systems to Microsoft’s premier cloud solution, Microsoft Office 365.
The decision to migrate to Office 365 and the Cloud was prompted by a need for increased storage capacity, anywhere access to e-mail and documents, and improved collaboration between teams, as well as the need for improved e-mail security and an enterprise-class disaster recovery solution.
Office 365 equips Delmege’s workforce with the latest tools. Users are able to hold audio and video conferences, work together on content creation in real-time, with geographically situated teams and stay connected while on the go – with the same experience across a range of devices – through the flexibility afforded by Office 365’s SharePoint and Lync which enable an increasingly mobile workforce to collaborate and communicate with ease.
O365’s pay-as-you-go “op-ex” model, and easy management and scalability were clear benefits for Delmege. For the IT department, this was considered a win-win situation; in addition to leveraging existing investments in technology, it allowed the team to respond to business needs and scale up or down when necessary, and allowed the team to dedicate more time to strategic business initiatives and innovation instead of routine hardware maintenance and software management.
H One and Microsoft have led the way in changing the face of collaboration and productivity for Sri Lankan businesses. With the backing of a strong technology partner like H One, more and more companies are now taking advantage of the many benefits of O365 and the Cloud platform.
