Sri Lanka will hold its annual Cyber Security Week (CSW) beginning this week, the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) announced.
Cyber Security Week 2011 programme features, a one-day conference on 19 October and two technical workshops on 20 and 21 October.
The conference and the two workshops are to be held at the Cinnamon Lake Side Hotel in Colombo.
The CSW is held each year with the aim of educating local industrialists.
The one day conference will conclude with a gala dinner.
The first workshop will be held on 20 October under the theme of ‘Virtualisation, Cloud Computing and the Next Generation of Enterprises Architecture’ and the second workshop is held under the theme ‘Know your Enemy by Tracking Botnets’ on 21 October.
SLCERT says programmes have also been organised for university students as a part of the CSW 2011. Public are also invited to attend the programmes.
The fourth Annual National Conference on Cyber Security will provide updates on security developments, trends and technologies and the technical workshops.
