The Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute for International Relations & Strategic Studies inaugurated ‘Connecting with Silicone Valley,’ the first series of its video lectures.

Jerry Michalaski, founder of REX: the Relationship Economy Expedition is a lateral thinker, pattern finder, connector, facilitator, and explorer of the interactions between technology, society and business. He thinks that “companies develop authentic relationships with (and among) various stakeholder groups”. He is a firm believer that the current social changes that we are going through has a larger impact by all the new connectivity (e.g.: internet, mobile, tweeting, etc.) rather than by the economic or structural changes that have ever seen.

Jerry had an interactive session with the participants by sharing his software platform ‘Jerry’s Brain’ and conducted a valuable lecture to the researchers and students who were presented.

The lecture was on ‘Gardening my brain,’ a sophisticated software system which utilises inputs and transforms them into brain-maps and which finds value connections within a person’s reach.

Jerry by demonstrating through his digitalised brain brought excitement to the crowd.

The Kadirgamar Institute has planned to conduct the ‘Connecting with Silicon Valley’ lecture series with other key personnel from Silicon Valley who are academics and experts in social media, strategic planning, artificial intelligence and innovative technology. The Kadirgamar Institute invites students, and professionals to participate in the forthcoming lectures.
