Cambio Healthcare Systems AB announced that it will now operate in Sri Lanka under the name of Cambio Software Engineering, effective immediately.
“The name change from Cambio H
ealthcare Systems to Cambio Software Engineering comes at a defining moment for us. Our entire organisation is going through a transformation to be more effective and efficient in providing advanced healthcare solutions to our customers in Europe. The Sri Lanka office is the Research & Development centre for Cambio Healthcare Systems. Here, we design and build state of the art technology solutions for a demanding healthcare market. Therefore this rebranding is about defining our presence in Sri Lanka based on what we really do here, and what we are really good at; and that is developing software,” said Cambio Sri Lanka Head Dharshana Jayewardene.
Cambio’s mission is to improve healthcare and patient safety by offering innovative software solutions to health care providers. The Sri Lankan team has played a crucial role in the development and deployment of the Cambio’s product, COSMIC. Today COSMIC has over 100,000 licensed users such as doctors and nurses in Sweden, Denmark and the UK.
The success of the brand has enabled Cambio to be one of Europe’s leading e-health providers; a fact that has been made possible by a highly skilled team of 250 software engineers at the Cambio Research & Development Centre in Colombo 03.
Adopting the name change will allow the company to gain additional recognition as a leading software development organisation in Sri Lanka with recruitment opportunities for talented software engineers. The head of Cambio in Sri Lanka Dharshana Jayawardena said, “We have recognised the need to increase our domain knowledge about the healthcare industry enabling us to be more effective solution builders in the future.
To achieve this goal we will now develop a team of highly skilled domain experts in Sri Lanka by recruiting Business Analysts in addition to our normal recruitment of technical software engineers. We are really excited about the exciting job opportunities we can now offer the IT industry in Sri Lanka and are looking forward to having onboard some great talent in the near future.”
