“We have had a steady growth in the company since the inception and with the launch of the newest product we anticipate an additional growth in our sales this year,” he added.

At present the company has a market share of 70% in the cyber security solutions in the country.
He also asserted that the company intends to venture into niche markets such as banks and mobile operators where they will exploit security solutions as a value added services.
Commenting on the Kaspersky Internet Security product launched he said the new solutions include updated technologies ensuring that users are protected whatever they do on their devices online. A set of new features has been added with the aim to protect users’ private lives. Kaspersky Internet Security also enables parents to monitor their children’s activity on the Web with the help of the Parental Control module.
Registered users of previous versions can upgrade to the new edition free of charge, but they must reinstall the application.
It has been revealed that cyber threats have become a global problem and their number and sophistication continues to evolve significantly. Kaspersky Lab currently detects 325,000 new malicious files every day. Last year, the company’s products detected and neutralised a total of 6,167,233,068 threats. This figure has just been growing and with every passing day, the ‘bad guys’ are always coming up with something new.
“We are happy to bring Kaspersky Lab’s reliable products to our customers. Kaspersky Lab’s new versions of Kaspersky Internet Security are packed with a variety of exclusive features, besides the standard real time protection from malware and hourly updates to the virus definition database, new Kaspersky Internet Security boasts of a two-way firewall. It’s a feature that secures network activity before the security product hasn’t even started yet. Under its list of Advanced Threat Protection, Kaspersky has equipped this package with an automatic exploit prevention algorithm, which is responsible for targeting malware specifically.”
With its proactive detection, new Kaspersky Internet Security uses behavioural analysis and updatable heuristics modules to protect against new and unknown malware and thereby making our digital environment far more secure and sturdy to handle all sorts of attacks, he added.
Stating that personal privacy is everybody’s inalienable right, whether it’s in the real or the virtual world, Kaspersky Lab Managing Director – South Asia Altaf Halde says that at Kaspersky Lab they do everything to protect users’ personal files and privacy – from cybercriminals and other curious residents of the internet. “Naturally, these measures will be more effective if users follow safer internet practices: Protect their devices and accounts with strong passwords, avoid downloading files from un-trusted sources, and run regular scans for cyber threats on their computers,” he says.
“With the new range of Kaspersky security solutions, we are providing our users the control and visibility they need to secure their sensitive information while they are on the worldwide web,” he added
