The Sri Lanka Salesforce.com Platform Developer User Group concluded their quarterly meet-up recently in Colombo with Joshua Birk, a Developer Evangelist at Salesforce.com. Salesforce Developer User Groups are meet-ups that happen worldwide and are usually organised by the developer user community.
The event was sponsored by attune Consulting. attune is a global consulting company with offices in nine countries who provides the world’s biggest brands in the Fashion and Lifestyle industry with technology enabled business solutions. attune is a fully owned subsidiary of MAS holdings.
Birk delivered a technical presentation on ‘Integration with the Salesforce Platform and Force.com Canvas’. Salesforce.com Inc. is a global cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Salesforce.com has various products and services such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Services Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Force.com platform, and Work.com. The Force.com platform enables third party developers to build their own applications on Salesforce’s Cloud.
According to the Sri Lanka Salesforce User Group Organiser – Chamil Wickrama Arachchi; there are only a few companies in Sri Lanka that are currently using Salesforce.com/Force.com for development, attune being one of them. “Our next step will be to introduce Salesforce.com/Force.com technologies to undergraduates in Sri Lanka,” states Wickrama Arachchi.
“It’s great to see Salesforce rapidly growing in Sri Lanka and companies like attune supporting them in many ways,” Birk stated at the end of the meet up.
attune is one of the largest IT companies in the country using the Salesforce platform and has expressed its commitment to support related initiatives in the future.
