Abans unveiled the LG G Pad 8.0 LTE, an affordable and feature-packed android tablet, which is raising standards of connectivity in emerging 4G markets, to satisfy consumer demand for speed and convenience wherever they are.
In the realm of Android, smaller 8-inch tablets are fast becoming the norm, with this particular screen size seeming to strike the perfect balance between portability, functionality and affordability. The LG G Pad 8.0 is a tablet which is practical as well as appealing.
The rear of the G Pad 8.0 is made of matte-effect plastic, which is comfortable to grip, and apart from the camera lens and two speaker grilles, it’s plain and uncongested. On the left-hand side is the power button and volume control, while the top edge is home to a 3.5 mm headphone socket, IR Blaster and microSD card slot. The bottom edge is reserved solely for the Micro USB port.
The LG G Pad 8.0 tablet’s 8-inch screen has a resolution of 800x1280 pixels, which delivers a pixel density of 189 ppi. The IPS panel is bright and colourful and affords excellent viewing angles with the protection of scratch resistant corning gorilla glass 3.0.
LG has been remarkably restrained by not adding too much bloat ware on its G Pad 8.0, which ships with Android 4.4.2 (upgradable to android 5.0 Lollipop) and is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU.
Some welcome and unique features, such as Knock Code, which allows you to unlock the device by simply tapping a sequence on the touch screen even when the display is powered down, make the LG G Pad 8.0 stand out from its Android rivals. Another nice element is the ability to run two applications in tandem, side by side.
Q Pair is an app which is unique to LG Tablets, which allows you to link your phone to the G Pad in order to receive notifications such as text messages. This saves you the hassle of reaching for your handset when you are using your tablet. And also it has the DLNA Smart share which is an industry-wide standard for sharing data over a home network.
With the DLNA-compatible LG G pad 8.0 devices you own, you might be able to stream films from your Tablet to your TV, play an MP3 stored on your Tablet over your hi-fi system, or print a photo from your tablet on your home printer.
Quick Remote is a feature which works with the tablet’s built-in blaster and enables you to control your TV, DVD or Blu-ray player without having to search all over the room for the remote.
It is also possible to uninstall some of the pre-loaded applications on the G Pad 8.0 which you don’t really need and free more space for other downloads.
The amazing LG G Pad 8.0 is very affordably priced and is available exclusively from Abans showrooms and authorised dealers Islandwide. It comes with a free flip cover, screen guard and a Smart Warranty which covers Drop Damage (if tablet is damaged by user accidently), and Liquid Damage (if any liquid or such substance seeps into the tab accidently), so you can confidently use your tablet without worrying about any accidental damage to it.
The Smart Warranty comes absolutely free for one year with the purchase of any LG smartphone or tab from Abans or any of Abans’ key partners islandwide.
