The Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) is the apex body for ICT Industry and TechCERT, Sri Lanka’s first and largest Computer Emergency Readiness Team in association with Sophos and Sinetcom Ltd., Sophos Distributor of Sri Lanka and Maldives, is hosting a webinar on ‘Ransomware Readiness for Corporates’ today, 9 June, 4 p.m. onwards.
Sophos is a global threat intelligence and data science team – Sophos’ cloud-native and AI-enhanced solutions secure endpoints (laptops, servers and mobile devices) and networks against evolving cybercriminal tactics and techniques, including automated and active-adversary breaches, ransomware, malware, exploits, data exfiltration, phishing, and more.
This webinar will be presented by TechCERT Chief Executive Officer Dileepa Lathsara, TechCERT Lead Security Engineer/Digital Forensic Investigations Kalana Guniyangoda, Cyber Security Officer for Banks and Start-ups and iPay.lk Co-Founder Dr. Parakum Pathirana and Sophos Technology Manager, Sales Engineer (Security) Ravindra Baviskar.
The main objective of this webinar is the identification of these attacking vectors will help organizations to mitigate the possibility of ransomware execution and increase the probability of business restoration with a minimum impact in a ransomware attack.

Ransomware is a type of malware that demands a ransom to restore access to computing resources and data. It has been causing devastation around the world for a long time.
