Code Beam 2019 is organised by the Code Sync group and the event in San Francisco will be held on the on 28 February over a period of two days, where it will bring together top software developers and tech companies in the US and around the world.

The event will focus on BEAM languages Erlang and Elixir, and especially on how these languages will revolutionise trending areas such as IoT, Blockchain, Fintech, Security and Machine Learning. It is a ‘must attend’ conference for aspiring software developers and industry related communities wanting to stay ahead of key trends and the futures of the Erlang and Elixir ecosystems.

Nuwan Wijeratne, who is a Senior Tech Lead at Wavenet, will be speaking at the event on the topic ‘Building high performance modularisation architecture in SMS’. The session will cover how Erlang developers can add value through the implementation of best-practice Erlang code during the design development and deployment of software solutions and infrastructure systems, and especially in Future Network environments such as NFV inside telco organisations.

Wavenet will speak on how powerful Erlang concepts can be used to develop scalable messaging platforms that’s evolved from legacy SMS to next-generation messaging in all IP architecture, supporting guarantees of 5-9s availability in current and future networks with a cloud-native, extensible architecture supporting advanced deployment methodologies such as NFV and IPSM.

“As the telecommunication industry is cruising through a time of managing murky impacts from future networks, whilst dealing with various protocol adaptations, our focus here at Wavenet is to build teams that are pushing technology to its limits by question the boundaries of coding to better support operator network transitioning and optimisations with superior telco solutions” said Niranajan Gunasekera, Head of Architecture and R&D at Wavenet.

Wavenet CEO Suren Pinto commented: “Wavenet being selected to speak on a universal platform amongst an internationally recognised panel of tech experts, showcases Wavenet’s recognition as an industry expert at a global level, and its skills and capabilities in delivering technically superior software architectures that is built-in with the highest quality, and engineered towards delivering highest international standards.”
