Sri Lankan consumers once again voted Dialog as the Telecom Service Provider and Internet Service Provider of the Year at the prestigious SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards 2018.
The People’s Awards are based on the feedback and votes of Sri Lankan consumers, and Dialog was voted as the preferred Telecom Service Provider for a record seventh year running.
Dialog’s triumph as the Internet Service Provider of the Year is for the sixth consecutive year and recognises the delivery on its commitment as the number one and fastest network as endorsed by the Sri Lankan consumer.
Dialog continues to pursue a journey of excellence, by delivering the widest coverage, fastest speeds while being at the forefront of multiple innovations, spearheading the development of mobile telephony in the country and the region.
Dialog’s undisputed leadership in the space of connectivity is iterated through the demonstration of 5G (Generation) Technology for the first time in South Asia, showcasing Sri Lanka’s dominance as a regional hub in telecommunications and the introduction of emerging technologies such as the Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IOT) and commercial launch of Voice over LTE (VoLTE), VoLTE Roaming and 4.5G LTE Home Broadband.

This year was the 12th edition of the People’s Awards program hosted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, with research conducted in association with Nielsen. The nominees and winners for the various categories are identified through research undertaken over a six-month period encompassing respondents from all nine provinces drawn from age segments in range of 15-60 years. The People’s Awards recognises brands and personalities that personally appeal to the people of the country.
