Wins Best Distributor Consumer and accolades trio
Singer Sri Lanka PLC, the country’s premier consumer durables retailer, won the most coveted ‘Best Distributor of the Year FY19 (Consumer) and the Best Large Format Retailer FY19 (Consumer)’, accolades at the Dell Partner Awards held recently.
The awards ceremony was held at Anantara Hotel Kalutara in the presence of leading local and global IT professionals including Anothai Wettayakorn – Vice President of Asia Emerging Markets and South Asia Consumer and Small Business – Dell Technologies, Chee Wei Chue – Channel Leader Dell Technologies/Channels Asia Emerging Market, Chrishan Fernando – Dell EMC Country Manager – Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Singer won the ‘Best Distributor (Consumer)’ award as a result of the excellent contribution the company made towards the Dell business under the consumer segment during the FY19. Singer Sri Lanka PLC was the highest contributor under consumer category which entails retail business and dealer distribution. In addition to the above main awards, Singer won the, ‘Best Consumer Distributor Sales Person FY19)’ and ‘Sales Person of the Year Client Solutions (Runner Up)’ award as well, making the night a spectacular one for the country’s leading brand.
Singer Sri Lanka PLC Group CEO Mahesh Wijewardene said, “This year we celebrate our fifth year partnership with the global brand Dell. As the number one consumer brand in the country this award further reiterates Singer Sri Lanka’s strong presence and rapid penetration in to the ICT related market and the connectivity with the younger generation in the country. Singer’s relationship with global ICT giant Dell runs back to 2014, and within the short phase of operations Singer managed to demonstrate a rapid growth in Dell working closely in partnership with DELL regional and local management resulting in increasing its overall market share in Sri Lanka.
