SLASSCOM is pleased to announce that Sri Lanka has been nominated for this prestigious award by the Global Sourcing Association (GSA). The Delivery Destination of the Year Award was established to champion best practice in sourcing programs and to recognise and reward delivery destinations that deliver excellent results and value-add to the strategic sourcing industry. The winner is to be announced at the GSA UK Awards Ceremony on 27 November at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, London.
The evaluation criteria for the award include the country’s approach to differentiation, overall strategic vision for business services delivery, target markets identified and approaches to serve them, focus on skills development and talent management, and approach to building an innovative, collaborative environment. The evaluation also focuses on the country’s growth and performance against targets, focus and commitment to best practices and the contribution to the industry.
SLASSCOM Chairman Ranil Rajapakse commented: “I’m delighted that Sri Lanka is selected again for the Delivery Destination award. We have won this award in 2013 and 2014, and this nomination highlights Sri Lanka’s ingenuity, capability and attractiveness as a compelling global destination. We continue to differentiate ourselves as the Island of Ingenuity offering Captive Innovation Centres, being your Digital Gateway to Asia, and providing access to invest in Digital Disruptors.”
The GSA is the industry association and professional body for the global sourcing industry. The GSA has published the Global Sourcing Standard, a world first for the provision of a portfolio of best practice methodologies and accreditation programs supported by both buyers and suppliers of sourcing.
