Samsung has launched Samsung DeX, a feature that turns its smartphones into a desktop by allowing users to connect their phones to a computer.
Samsung DeX enables Samsung smartphone users to carry out tasks that can only be performed on computers, eliminating the need for a desktop to complete them. Not only does this feature save time and effort, but it creates a fully integrated work environment wherever the user is located.
Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia President Y.J. Kim said: “With the advancement of digital transformation across the world, there is a growing need for a more simplified, efficient work experience, regardless of a user’s time and location. As Samsung has always been a leader in supporting innovation and driving work efficiency, Samsung DeX does just that by allowing users to streamline processes in a more productive manner.”
In addition to offering users a more productive mobile work environment, Samsung DeX comes especially in handy for those who do not have access to a computer or when travelling. Samsung’s new generation of smartphones double as a desktop when using any TV screen, providing users access to a variety of software such as Microsoft Office documents, emails, and even directly streaming videos onto TV screens.
Not only will Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 users be able to edit videos on their smartphones, but Samsung DeX will allow them to convert videos as well. All what users are required to do is connect their phones to their computers using a standard USB cable, and they will be able to edit presentations and documents on their smartphones without needing to copy or transfer their files.
