As part of its Amplify Digital Series, the Indian National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) in association with Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) recently hosted a 50+ member roundtable in the city comprising of IT industry leaders from India and Sri Lanka. The roundtable was held as one of the precursor events to the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) which will be making its debut in India in February 2018.
With WCIT’s Core Committee in attendance, the discussion gave an insight into the agenda and priorities of the IT congress, which will be co-hosted as a mega event with the NASSOM India Leadership Forum (NILF).
“Sri Lanka is a prominent player in the list of global destinations for IT/BPM services, and with a rapidly growing talent pool in the right areas like Finance and Accounting, it is poised to play a significant role in the future growth story of this sector. The WCIT-NILF 2018 event is an opportunity for Sri Lankan businesses to be part of, gain insights from world luminaries, explore new technologies, and engage with global peer groups,” said Keshav R. Murugesh, Group CEO, WNS Global Services and Member, NASSCOM Executive Council.
Amplify Digital Series is a program of multiple workshops being organised globally by NASSCOM, with select CXOs to discuss the digital revolution and how it is reshaping the world around us with its implications for government, business and society. Its pivot is to encourage a digital core in India Inc. – an enterprise-wide transformation that rethinks the core across people, processes, and technology.
