Pledging its continuous support towards Information Technology, Mobitel is partnering with National IT Conference (NITC) 2019 as Mobile Communications Partner. The conference will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, from 8-10 October, and will be dedicated to embrace digital, which is Mobitel’s domain as it consistently pioneers the latest digital products and services to lead the industry.
The conference will also focus on Digital Media, Digital Safety, AI and IoT, Digital Payments, Digital Infrastructure, etc. Mobitel has firmly positioned itself as an innovator, driving Sri Lanka’s ICT transformation. It is the first telecom to unveil a dedicated Internet of Things (IoT) concept store, X Station, the expert hub for futuristic technology products and services for people to experience the tech revolution.
This showcases Mobitel’s readiness to evolve with rapidly changing digital technology and to bring the latest ICT advances to Sri Lanka. Mobitel’s digital payments platform, mCash is powering various sectors and has truly simplified mobile money for millions of users.
NITC 2019 will feature 30 local and international speakers who will address the audience on the future digital trends. The event attracts CIOs, business leaders, risk professionals, Information security and governance professionals, IT managers, software managers, etc. The conference is made possible by the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), which was established in 1976 is the apex body representing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals in Sri Lanka.
The CSSL is also a member of the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) and International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). CSSL organises NITC annually, which is the flagship ICT event in Sri Lanka. NITC is the largest and longest running IT conference in the country. Mobitel formalised the partnership with NITC at The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) secretariat.
