Mitra Products Director and Head Bivendra Narangoda said the Company’s Product Business Unit has had a phenomenal 2019 with an amazing YOY growth of 38% – smashing its financial targets, while bagging some amazing clients across the UK, Europe, and Asian regions.
“2019 has been a testing year for us in facing the challenging economic volatility in our target markets, and in dealing with steep competition to win new business. However, our amazing team pushed the envelope, and proved just how strong we are as a business unit and as an organisation,” said Bivendra.

Bivendra said 2019 was significant for many reasons. While the Company’s main market focus remained in the UK and Australia, Mitra Products has spread its wings to many new regions, winning clients from Cambodia and Europe. “Furthermore, our footprint has expanded with recent investments in Singapore and Vietnam where Mitra had made fruitful partnerships with very strong channel partners. I predict a lot of business to come from the Asian region in the near future.”
Mitra also expanded into many new domains in 2019; partnering with ISVs from banking, healthcare, and fintech in the UK and Australia. “As we reach 200 people in our headcount, our support functions in HR, IT, Finance, Sales, and Marketing have grown rapidly, and are on par to support the next growth cycle of our company, and double its size in 2020.”
Mitra’s Product Engineering team has been very effective in building technology applications over business solutions, and in building trending capabilities in house such as Dell Boomi, React Native, low code, BPM, and many more. “Mitra Product’s delivery maturity has increased in leaps and Mitra’s business unit is undoubtedly one of the best places you could see agile-scrum being used effectively to bring competitive advantage for our clients.”
Bivendra went on to say that Mitra’s QA team is one of the finest. “Our homegrown test automation framework, performance, and security testing frameworks have helped us in writing software with optimum quality. Our talented BA team and PMO keep things tight on scope without getting into the pitfall of scope creep. Mitra Products have also invested a great deal in sales, presales, and client services. As we take on large projects it’s important to have a strong presence in all these sectors.”
Bivendra expressed confidence that 2020 will be another spectacular year for Mitra Products Business Unit. “I am confident that Mitra will emerge as one of the Tech sector’s most important players. Our investments in sales and marketing, presales, partner managers, and channel partnering will yield results in 2020. I also foresee additions of at least 40-50 new positions within the Company. This is a great opportunity for young talent out there to join us and experience an amazing journey in their careers. Together, we will remain as a great company for our customers and for our employees. Mitra Innovation – Brighter Together!”
