The centrepiece at the launch of the gaming range was the Predator Orion 9000, which is a pre-built desktop with specs known as ‘overkill’. With a powerful graphics processor coupled with ample RAM and storage along with a Core i9 processor, the Predator Orion 9000 is perfect for heavy content creation users and high performance gaming.
In the Predator range, Orion 5000, Helio 500 and Nitro 5 were also launched at this event. Orion 5000 has a powerful graphics processor and core i7 processor matching more mainstream gaming requirements. A much more cost-effective build than the 9000 series, the Predator Orion 5000 is perfect for the average normal user as it can still run any games released in the next few years at maxed out settings.
The Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop, has a powerful graphics processor with ample RAM and storage options and a Core i9 processor. The slim and sleek laptop is equally powerfully and efficient in performance offering a desktop level gaming experience on the go.
The Nitro 5, geared towards lighter gaming is an equally powerful lightweight laptop with Core i7 processor. Only second to Helios 500, Nitro 5 offers adequate performance on the move.
Two high resolution, curved ultra widescreen monitors were also unveiled at the launch; the XZ350CU and the XR382CQK. The monitors include DTS sound and high speed screen refresh at a rate of 75 Hz and 200 Hz. The IPS1 technology lets you see clearly from nearly any angle. This monitor is more geared towards content creators, but it does have the benefit of FreeSync which will pair very well with AMD cards.
