Lenovo, global technology leader, today announced the opening of its first Shop-In-Shop (SIS) store at Technocity, Colombo. Technocity is one of the largest multi-brand retail distributors and service providers in Sri Lanka having over 10 stores in the country. The launch comes as part of company’s effort to provide a superior retail experience and accelerate availability of its products in the country.
The new store will be located at Technocity’s Laptop.lk – the largest laptop store in Sri Lanka, and set to host an extensive range of electronics, computer hardware and peripherals, including Lenovo’s flagship products such as Ideapad (consumer-oriented laptop computers) and Legion series (high-performance gaming laptops) and much more. There are dedicated zones created for gaming and premium products, which include AMD powered laptops, desktops, AIOs, monitors and other accessories.
Lenovo has opted for the SIS retail model (a space within a large retail store) to offer to its consumers the option to touch and feel its products before making a purchase decision.
The store was inaugurated by Overseas Consumer Business Commercial & Tablets General Manager Naveen Kejriwal, Overseas Consumer Regional Sales Manager Shekhar Karmakar, Commercial Business Regional Sales Manager Sameer Varshney along with Technocity Chairman & Managing Director Fahmy Ismail.
Talking about the launch, Naveen Kejriwal said: “We are excited about our collaboration with Technocity and the set-up of Lenovo’s first SIS store in Sri Lanka. Our key objective is to deliver smarter technology for all with cutting edge products and solutions. We will continue to invest in our offline retail enterprises and are confident of a great response from our customers.”
