Sri Lanka Telecom PLC has appointed Kanishka Senanayake to its Board as a Non-Executive Independent Director.
Senanayake holds a B.Sc. in Finance from the University of Tampa, USA, and also holds a Foundation Degree in Law from the University of Warwick, UK.
He started his career at Holcim Lanka Ltd. in Colombo, Sri Lanka as a Business Development Manager from November 2009 to May 2013. Holcim was the largest cement manufacturer in Sri Lanka and a global conglomerate.
Currently, he is a Director of E-Channeling PLC, Serendib Engineering PLC, Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Agency, Mobitel Ltd., SL T Property Management Ltd., and several other private companies.
With the latest appointment, the Board of Sri Lanka Telecom comprises of P. G. K. Sirisena (Chairman), C. C. Beng, L. Paratz, L. C. Foong, W. K. H. Wegapitiya, N. S. A. Pieris and K. Senanayake.
