“Sri Lanka is an island of unparalleled beauty where each and every one of us is presented with the opportunity to witness its splendour every day. The Huawei Beautiful Sri Lanka competition was introduced to inspire users to capture the true essence of Sri Lanka using their Huawei smartphones while also showcasing their creative talent and photography skills in leveraging the power of today’s best smartphones for mobile photography,” stated Huawei Consumer Business Group Sri Lanka Country Head Peter Liu, as he explained the big idea behind this innovative photography competition.
“Under the theme of ‘Beautiful Sri Lanka’, Huawei users are encouraged to capture the essence of life in Sri Lanka through creative photos of eye-catching sceneries, landscapes, wildlife and architecture found across the island. Huawei smartphone users can enter the competition by capturing a photo using their smartphone with the watermark and sharing it on Facebook with ‘Public’ settings with the hashtags ‘#ReWriteTheRulesOfPhotography#HuaweiSriLanka’ between the period of 28 March and 24 May. The user must also inbox the link of the photo to ‘Huawei Mobile LK’ Facebook page with his/her name, contact number as well as the IMEI number of the Huawei smartphone,” Liu added.
A panel of judges comprising of leading photographers and other creative individuals will study all photos that meet the criteria and pick the best ones. The Top 20 Photos will be shortlisted and exciting prizes, including a Huawei P30 Lite for the 1st place, 5 Huawei Watch GTs, 10 Freebuds and Consolation Gifts, will be handed out to them.
“The Top 20 winners will also have the opportunity to undergo further training in order to enter the annual NEXT-IMAGE Awards.
