Bestbuy Maldives (BBM) is the largest FMCG provider to the many world class resorts in the Maldives. These resorts demand the finest of food and other items from reputed suppliers globally. BBM now on in its 20th year of operation has forged partnerships with the likes of Unilever Food Solutions, TWG, SOSA, etc.
Keeping resorts supplied with 3,000 plus items in a region where weather can close down the supply route without warning, or seasonal demands can vary based on the arrival of tourist of different nationals with differing food tastes requires a combination of careful planning, maintenance of the right level of buffer stocks, ensuring shelf dates don’t reach expiry and preventing loss sales or more likely client dissatisfaction is a balancing act that BBM performs 365 days of the year. FiNAC ERP plays a major role in BBM’s successful supply chain management process. This includes Sales Force Automation (SFA) using android tablets (PDA) at the Client site to take orders and make collections. A GPS tracking system is in place to ensure the discipline of the Sales Executives which facilitates route planning and performance monitoring.
The supply chain module of the FiNAC ERP covers in addition to the SFA, warehouse management, on time delivery, a POS system, free issues, profitability monitoring and most important prevents overstocking. The CRM module facilitates collections on time as well.
BBM’s entire finance division, HRM and Document management process is also handled by the FiNAC ERP.
