Sri Lanka’s first Internet Day was held from 6-7 April and hosted by the Federation of Information Technology Sri Lanka (FITIS). FITIS announced that E-W Information Systems Ltd. (EWIS) signed up as a Gold Sponsor of Sri Lanka Internet Day 2021.
Topics such as the digital vision for Sri Lanka, the country’s digital strategy, bridging divides, the foundation of Sri Lanka’s digital economy, etc., were covered at the event which was set to have 40 sessions conducted by leaders and experts of the public and private sectors.
The two-day event had over 15 key influencers who spoke on their experience in the digital ecosystem and over 10,000 session participants attended the two-day session. Sri Lanka’s digital strategy that included digitisation initiatives in the public and private sectors too were deliberated. Along with that, national priorities that aim to enhance the country’s digital infrastructure to facilitate a digitally empowered ecosystem was
showcased.
