Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider partnered with the 6th annual Cyber Security Summit as the Telecommunication Partner.
The summit, to be held 19-20 September at Cinnamon Grand, consists of three key events: the CEOs’ Forum on Cyber Security on 19 September, and Cyber Security Day Conference and Hangout with Hackers (Night Hack) – an innovative and informative evening on 20 September. The summit is co-organised by CICRA – Sri Lanka’s pioneering cyber security training and consultancy organisation, and Daily FT, the country’s only business and finance newspaper.
Speaking at the ceremony to mark the partnership between Dialog and the Cyber Security Summit,
Dialog Axiata Group Chief Technology Officer Pradeep De Almeida said: “We are delighted to have partnered the Cyber Security Summit for the third year. Cyber Security remains a key concern for any organisation and the summit will certainly enlighten most corporates on the importance of secure systems and processes in protecting sensitive data and information.”
Meanwhile, CICRA Group Director/CEO Boshan Dayaratne said that the co-organisers are delighted to have Dialog as a partner of the summit.
“This year’s summit will be a bigger and better experience with number of international and local addressing the gathering,” Dayaratne said. “The primary objective of the summit is to create awareness on the importance of Cyber Security among top officers in the top corporate management and IT professionals. Discussions and presentations will revolve around some of the most malicious attacks and potential threats surrounding the security field,” he said.
