CIPM partners SLT for fast-tracking digital transformation with free Wi-Fi for all

CIPM Sri Lanka signed a partnership and collaboration agreement recently with Sri Lanka Telecom for the provision of Wi-Fi and data facilities which will fast track CIPM’s digitalisation process and eco-friendly ‘Green Operations’ concept. 

It will enable members, faculty and learners at the head office HR House in Colombo 5, Kirulapone and all five regional offices and study centres to access the CIPM web portal in a seamless and hassle free manner over Wi-Fi, enhancing inclusivity. 

The agreement was signed at a ceremony at CIPM Head Office by CIPM President Dhammika Fernando and WPC-Sri Lanka Telecom General Manager Chethana Attanayake in the presence of CIPM Treasurer Ken Vijayakumar, CIPM CEO P. G. Tennakoon, members of the CIPM Executive Council and officials representing Sri Lanka Telecom including Deputy General Manager WPSW Ranga Jayawardhana.  

“This is an important milestone in our journey to be an inclusive and stake-holder focused professional body. CIPM is now well positioned to roll out its digital strategy for the benefit of all our stakeholders. The Wi-Fi rollout will make our day to day operations fast and easy,” said CIPM Sri Lanka President Fernando. 

“Partnering with Sri Lanka Telecom to bring about rapid digital transformation of CIPM Sri Lanka came to us naturally as they have been involved continuously over a long period of time with us as a sponsor of many of our national level events,” he added.

CIPM endeavors to be in the forefront of the knowledge-based economy and expects that this Wi-Fi technology roll out across all its locations will bring about efficiency and convenience while reducing operational cost structures.  

“We wish to congratulate CIPM Sri Lanka for deploying seamless Wi-Fi connectivity as one of the first steps in the digitalisation process thereby displaying the characteristics of a true leader in its endeavor to be ahead of the technology adoption curve,” said SLT GM WPC Attanayake. “We are honoured and pleased to have partnered with CIPM.
