CIO Confluence conference to focus on digital transformation in making banking invisible

The CIO Confluence conference which is to be held on 21 August will be focused on sharing the journey of digital transformation in making banking invisible. The event is to be held at Hilton from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

The one day conference organised by the bank’s CIO Forum (BCIOF) in association with pencil works, is to highlight four central topics which are reinventing the consumer journey, leveraging the power of data, redefining the operating model and redefining the distribution model. 

Experts will share insights on Omni channel experience, seamless payment experience as to how, where and when the customer decides, UI/ UX and cross selling opportunities under the first theme and architecture, ESB, API, SOA, process automation such as internal customer needs, workflows, RPA, customer relationship management systems (CRM), software define networks (SDN), IOT and high performance agile internal teams under the second theme. 

The third topic of leveraging the power of data will share information on advanced analytics such AL and machine learning and personalised communications and offers while the final topic will focus on the sub topics; work with partnerships such as Telcos, insurance and government organisations, collaboration with Fintech and open API banking. The keynote speech will be delivered by world renowned Futurist, Author, Technologist and Speaker Steve Sammartino who will share his perspectives and views on the fast growing digital transformation through his experiences of working for several Fortune 500 companies. 

Sammartino was the figure behind the launch of one of the first ever ‘Sharing Economy’ start-ups, even before Uber and Airbnb. He is also the author of the best-selling books on the technology revolution; The lessons school forgot and the great fragmentation. 

While Steve is Australia’s most respected futurist and media commentator on emerging technology, he has spoken to over 200,000 people around the world, uniquely combining anthropology and technology.The event has also invited Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy as the Chief Guest for the conference while thought leaders Asian Region Axiate Group Berhad Regional CEO Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya and Global Operations Ironone technologies Co-founder and CEO Lakmini Wijesundera will be present to share the stage with the audience. 

The conference is to hold two panel discussions alongside with the experts present at the event which will be moderated by N-able Managing Director and Chief Executive Peter D’Almeida and IBM World Trade Corporation Head of Software Sales Manori Unambuwe respectively. Arun Dias Bandaranaike is to compere the event. 

The session will be followed by a cocktail function which is to be held from 6:45 p.m. onwards featuring Marians together with Nalin Perera and a guest performance by Corrine Almeida and a dance act by Shashi and Sanchana.
