Acer has introduced a new range of devices designed to offer consumers the widest possible choice of high-performance, ultraportable computing devices at a virtual global press conference held from Taipei, Taiwan.
Speaking online, Acer CEO Jason Chen, and Acer President Pan-Asia Pacific Operations Andrew Hou revealed the range of innovative products that are meant to sync technology and people through niche products that will facilitate better workability during these challenging times.
Among the new products is the Acer Swift X, the newest member of its popular Swift line of notebooks. Designed to take ultra-portable PC design to the next level, this ultrathin-and-light laptop boasts an AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processor with ‘Zen 3’ architecture and the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPUs. The new Acer Swift X (SFX14-41G) notebook represents a new segment within the Swift portfolio, the first of its series to come powered with discrete graphics.
The latest addition to its TravelMate P6 series, is a line of Windows 10 Pro notebooks engineered for professionals who frequently work on the road. Durable, secure and powerful with a long battery life, these notebooks are built to survive life on the go—and now include a convertible option with a Corning Gorilla Glass touch display that can be rotated 360 degrees for use in presentation, tablet, notebook and tent modes. They also sport a dockable Acer Active Stylus that works with Windows Ink for capturing notes and drawing. In addition, new traditional clamshell models have been refreshed with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processors and facilitate collaboration by leveraging a 180-degree hinge design that allows the devices to lay flat for easier content sharing.
Four new Chromebook lines in a wide array of shapes and designs, including the industry’s first 17-inch Chromebook, the Acer Chromebook 317 were released. They all come with the latest in-demand technology and features to meet the needs of consumers, students, and business users. “Since the introduction of Chromebooks 10 years ago, Acer has been a leader in expanding form factors in innovative ways that encourage our users to create, learn, and do more,” said James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. “Today, we hit another milestone by being the first Chromebook provider to introduce a 17.3-inch model, the ideal size for users working and learning from home.” Popular for their gaming devices, several additions were added to its gaming portfolio with Predator notebooks, a mouse and a new 5G CPE router. The all-new Predator Triton 500 SE and the Predator Helios 500 notebooks have been updated to include up to the new 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs, plus a hoard of premium features like Acer’s 5th Generation AeroBlade 3D Fan Technology for better cooling, DTS:X Ultra audio, Intel Killer E3100 Ethernet Controller, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650, and the PredatorSense device management software.
