Top honours were awarded to software product engineering specialist 99X Technology, as it won gold both in the ICT Services Sector category as well as in the Overall Medium category at the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2018, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka.
The recognitions were a continuing acknowledgement of the company’s strength in doing business and contributions to the Sri Lankan economy through export excellence. The NBEA’s holistic evaluation criteria assessed entities’ all-round performance in areas that included corporate governance, capacity building, performance management, global and local market reach, corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability, and business and financial results.
“This marks the first time we’ve won two Golds, which I believe shows 99X Technology’s dedication towards not just maintaining but constantly improving its business value, operational processes and overall performance among its peers. It is always an honour to be recognised among these esteemed organisations and we look forward to aiming for even better results in years to come,” noted 99X Technology Co-Founder and CEO Mano Sekaram.
Other winners in the ICT Services Sector category included Sri Lanka Telecom as the runners-up and Creative Technology Solutions as second-runners up. This marks the fourth year in which 99X Technology has been awarded Gold in the ICT Services Sector category over the past several years, yet its first time as the top entrant in the Overall Medium category, having won Bronze previously in 2016.
