Global innovation-led multinational 3M has renewed its commitment to the ICT sector by coming forward as a Silver Sponsor for the Infotel exhibition, to be held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) from 24 to 27 October.
The theme of this year’s Infotel exhibition is ‘Enhancing Lives’ given that technology has become an essential component of daily life. This year, Infotel aims to create a ‘Knowledge hub’ thus allowing Sri Lankan companies to highlight their ICT products which utilise cutting-edge technology and innovation.
“3M believes that innovation involves the creation of new solutions to meet unexpressed needs, constantly striving to add value to the ICT sector. It is this ability to re-conceive the world that enhances lifestyles,” said 3M Vice President Suren Rajanathan.
3M will display their new IT solutions at the event, focusing particularly on network cabling and state of the art fibre-connectivity which is an emerging trend in the country.
“We believe that sharing our knowledge and best practise allows for value addition to the ICT industry, tying in with the nation’s development goals. Through this exhibition, 3M hopes Sri Lanka will align itself with global standards, while tapping into emerging opportunities in the ICT sector,” said Electro-Communications Division Sales Manager Derrick Ferdinandus.
Infotel is the largest ICT exhibition to be held in Sri Lanka, organised by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS). It is routinely patronised by key decision makers at prestigious organisations.
An estimated 30,000 people, including 200 foreign delegates are expected to visit Infotel this year. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of ICT solutions and services, while providing a lucrative platform for business opportunities.
