Eminent Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Ruwan Ekanayake will speak on all aspects of heart diseases, prevention and care, advice to patients after a heart attack, etc.

Heart to Heart Trust Fund was co-founded by the two dedicated doctors, Dr. Rajitha de Silva and his guru Dr. Ruwan Ekanayake, to help the poor and underprivileged who cannot afford to meet the heavy financial costs to have free heart surgeries, fully paid by the fund. Monies donated by well wishers, entrepreneurs and public to this Fund are utilised for this purpose to do free surgery. Another significant feature at the SJGH is the – Keyhole coronary bypass surgery performed for the first time in January this year, by Dr. Rajitha de Silva, creating a trailblazer in government-sector hospitals.

Sri Jayawardenepura Hospital Chairman Dr. Athula Kahandaliyanege and Director Dr. Susitha Senaratne are expected to address the gathering.

There will also be a Q & A session where members will be free to ask questions from the Panel. For registration, kindly contact Chamber TP 4741788 Mrs Fouad or email [email protected]; [email protected]
