Nawaloka Hospital Negombo completes one year of providing world class healthcare

Nawaloka Hospital Negombo, the first regional hospital of the Nawaloka Hospital, recently celebrated its first anniversary. After just a year of operations the state-of-the-art facility has made a significant impact on the lives of people in the region by providing them with convenient access to world class healthcare. To commemorate the occasion the hospital is offering a Rs. 5,200 full body check up at a discounted price of Rs. 2,800.

“At the completion of one year I am proud to say that we have reached many significant milestones and successfully provided world class healthcare to people living outside the capital city. We have eliminated the need for them to travel to Colombo for their medical needs and provided them with facilities for emergency medical care. Because of this resounding success we have become an invaluable part of the community here,” said Nawaloka Hospitals PLC Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa.

With its 75 beds, state-of-the-art amenities and highly qualified staff, the hospital was able to treat over 10,000 in-patients, conduct over 75,000 OPD consultations and deliver over 100 babies. In addition, its three operating theatres, geared to handle all types of surgical procedures including Laparoscopic surgeries, facilitated over 3,000 surgeries during this period. The hospital also runs the only Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) in the area offering 24x7 care during medical emergencies.

Nawaloka Hospital Negombo features the most technically advanced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) which includes dedicated medical intensive care and surgical intensive care units.
