Residents in and around Ragama can now get their medical laboratory requirements attended to conveniently, with Hemas Hospital expanding their lab services to Ragama.
Situated at 39F, Thalagolla Road, Hospital Junction, Ragama, the new lab was opened recently. Present on the occasion were Hemas Hospital Chairman Murtaza Esufally and, Director-Medical Services Dr. Aruna Rabel.
Dr. Rohan Sugathadasa, PhD, Laboratory Manager Hemas Hospitals said that through this laboratory people of Ragama and surrounding areas will now be able to obtain a more reliable and efficient laboratory service in a friendlier atmosphere at an affordable cost.
“The opening of this laboratory marks an important milestone in the expansion of the Hemas laboratory network to other parts of Sri Lanka,” he added.
The new Hemas Hospital laboratory at Ragama is equipped with automated biochemistry and haematology analysers and is able to provide speedy and accurate laboratory test reports round the clock. Apart from laboratory investigations the new lab will also provide ECG service, channeling and information services and CT & MRI referral services for Hemas Hospital-Wattala.
Hemas Hospitals became the pioneer in introducing the fully bar-coded, integrated and interfaced automated laboratory in Sri Lanka. As a result of the recently installed advanced laboratory automation system, laboratory tests done at Hemas Hospital, Wattala and Ragama laboratory are safer and faster with errors being minimized. All laboratory tests are frequently subjected to stringent external and internal quality assurance.
