eChannelling Plc and Helathscan Pvt Ltd have entered into an agreement to offer ambulance services on the “225” short code in Sri Lanka. Healthscan Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of British American Technologies Pvt Ltd, the largest shareholder of eChanneling Plc.
This would be the first time that an ambulance service would be available on the three digit short code where patients could make use of “225” to obtain the services of an emergency doctor and ambulance.
Healthscan Pvt Ltd offers a 24 hour ambulance service, OPD, Laboratary and pharmacy services and also specialises in occupational health care with a number of leading corporates in their clientele. The operations are spearheaded by its founder Managing Director, Dr. Manouri Samarakoon who has a professional team of doctors working with her at Healthscan Pvt Ltd, eChanneling said.
This partnership would allow eChanneling to expand value added services in the healthcare sector. eChanneling shares were down 10 cents to Rs.7.90 Friday when 72,200 shares traded.
