Covidien sponsored the first-ever radiological technician workshop in Sri Lanka, which was a part of the Annual Academic Session of The Sri Lanka College of Radiologists, which is the association of the practicing radiologists of this country.
Covidien Business Manager for South East Asia Srinivas Vardan said: “We are very proud to be associated with the programme as it is the first of its kind and it is important to us as a company which is not only here to do business but to also uplift the required support on such programmes of Continuous Medical Education (CMEs).”
He further added that the success of a programme would not be a reality if not for the Channel Partner in Sri Lanka, Delmege Medical (Pvt) Ltd., a member of the Delmege Forsyth Group.
Speaking further Delmege Medical Director Kavinda Makalanda, a well respected figure in the pharmaceutical industry, said that it was a milestone achieved to see both radiologists and radiographers taking part on the same platform, which was a vital and important momentum that was groundbreaking and an example to all in the medical fraternity to work in close relations which would enrich patients lives at large.
Hitachi Medical Systems Business Development Manager Athul Agrawal was also present.
The programme was held at Hotel Ceylon Intercontinental from 22 to 24 July 2011.
