A webinar on the unique subject of ‘Changing the paradigm in health/immunisation record management’ organised by the Institute of Directors (SLID) in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants will be held today, Tuesday, at 5 p.m.
Children are our greatest asset. Their health and wellbeing right from the day they are born is the prime responsibility of the parents, health professionals and society at large. In the current age of information technology and digitisation, many software systems have become indispensable to health professionals and health administrators alike to make this endeavor possible.
Immunify.Me, a Sri Lankan startup co-founded by Dr. Nadeera Nilupamali in 2017, is a unique software system to enter the global healthcare market space for the purpose of digitising the paper-based Child Healthcare Record Book, eliminating the challenges in maintaining records pertaining to a child’s immunisation. It will also make available critical child health and vaccination data to parents, health professionals and administrators with just a click of a button and will primarily eliminate the challenges in maintaining paper-based records pertaining to a child’s immunisation. From a national as well as a global perspective, a centralised digital health record provides a treasure-trove of information for health and government policy makers to make the world a better place for children.
A scholar, virologist, researcher and entrepreneur and an award-winning young scientist, Dr. Nadeera is a pioneer in Sri Lanka’s startup culture. Immunify.Me, the winner of the ‘Top Global Impact Performer’ award at ‘Startup Thailand 2018,’ has since been successfully launched internationally in Chile, Luxembourg, India, and the African continent.
Dr. Nadeera has also planned to launch another unique online software application which aims to keep people safe in times such as during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This application will allow Sri Lankans to attend to their daily chores and get back to their normal lives without hindering the safety of the community and restart the Nation.
Dr. Nadeera’s keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion with Ironwood Capital Partners Chairman Steven Enderby with IronOne Technologies and BoardPac Co-founder and CEO Lakmini Wijesundera. The webinar will be moderated by Aroshi Nanayakkara, Vice Chairperson of SLID, CEO of Global Consulting Company and Independent Non-Executive Director of Sampath Bank PLC and Hela Clothing Ltd.
